The Mumbai datacenter is a submarine cable-ready coastal datacenter directly integrated with a submarine cable landing station. This unique location offers unbeatable low latency and high bandwidth, making it an ideal deployment hub for global internet traffic, AI, CDN, fintech, and hybrid cloud use cases.
The facility is a Tier III+/IV built structure with seismic resilience and a floor loading capacity of 3000 KG/M². It has an initial capacity of 12.5MW (Phase 1), with plans to scale up to 80MW, and supports high-density racks with up to 150kW power.
For power, the facility uses renewable energy with a target PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) of ≤1.2. It features a dual power feed from MSEDCL and redundant N+N power with UPS. For network, it is carrier-neutral and provides direct subsea cable access, IX peering, and global bandwidth from providers like Bharti Airtel, Jio Fiber, and Tata Communications.
The Mumbai datacenter utilizes advanced cooling technologies, including RackBank's patented Liquid Immersion Cooling (Varuna) and Direct-to-chip (DTC) cooling. These systems are highly efficient and are designed to handle the high-density rack power requirements while minimizing environmental impact.
The datacenter is certified to meet rigorous global standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, SOC 1 Type II, and SOC 2 Type II. This ensures that the facility operates with high standards of security, reliability, and data management.
The datacenter's strategic location in Navi Mumbai, with direct access to subsea cables, provides ultra-low latency for global connectivity. This makes it perfect for businesses that require fast, reliable connections to international markets, as well as for those running latency-sensitive applications.
With an initial capacity of 12.5MW and a roadmap to scale to 80MW, the datacenter is designed to support both current needs and future growth. This scalability allows businesses to expand their infrastructure seamlessly as their demands for compute power increase.
